Wade C. Long: A Rising Star in R&B
Wade C. Long is a genre-blending vocalist, keyboardist, and producer whose music bridges the timeless soul of classic R&B with the sophistication of Smooth Jazz and the pulse of contemporary grooves. Hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, Wade began writing and producing songs in his teens, developing a sound that was both heartfelt and forward-thinking. His journey eventually led him to Los Angeles, where he began building the foundation of a career defined by emotional authenticity and creative independence.
In 2020, Wade released his debut album, Nostalgia, offering a warm, upbeat escape during one of the world’s most uncertain moments. The project resonated widely, earning critical acclaim and a SoulTracks Reader’s Choice Award nomination for New Artist of the Year, and solidifying his presence across the Soul and Smooth Jazz scenes.
He followed up with his sophomore LP, A Long Story, in January 2023, further establishing his versatility as both a songwriter and collaborator. The album featured standout tracks like “Trin’s Jam” with Christian de Mesones and “Celebrate You,” a soulful duet with the iconic Hil St. Soul. The pair’s chemistry drew comparisons to R&B legends, marking Wade as an artist who honors tradition while forging a sound all his own.
In 2024, Wade captured audiences once again with his single “Have You Ever Been Loved?”—a heartfelt ballad that has gained notable traction on Mediabase’s Urban/R&B charts, and now reimagined with a dancefloor-ready remix campaign reaching DJs across the UK, Europe, and Chicago house circuits.
